Alfredo Santo is one of Australia’s leading edge hairstylists. He is respected within the hairdressing and fashion industry as an exceptionally talented stylist, educator and stylist, educator and business person. Alfredo, former ‘Australian & Victorian Hairdresser of the Year’, believes ardently in his profession and the important role hairstylists play within the fashion and beauty world.

Alfredo runs the highly successful Tremayne Salon, which has operated in Melbourne for over twenty-six years. He divides his time between Salon commitments, commenting on Fashion & Beauty in the media, image consulting, industry education, photographic work and runway parades.

Alfredo’s passion is the ‘total look’ and he has become an expert on the concept. He is regularly engaged for his skills in creating a desired image for clients, models and celebrities. Alfredo believes that hair, make-up, clothing and accessories all need to compliment each other in order to create a winning look.

He works closely with many of Australia’s top fashion designers and the Arts to achieve a total look. His expertise was called on as the Fashion & Beauty presenter on Healthy, Wealthy & Wise where he covered fashion events and trends as well as a series of complete make-overs. He is a regular guest on television shows such as the Logies – Red Carpet Arrivals specials and judges in many areas including the Melbourne Cup Carnival ‘Fashions on the Field’.

Alfredo is one of the founding members of the Goldwell ACT (Australian Creative Team). His skill is called upon both nationally and internationally for platform work. This expertise has culminated in Alfredo’s first publication ‘Colour Makes the Difference’, a coffee table style book and instructional video on hair colouring and the ‘total look’.

After a career spanning more than 2 decades Alfredo attributes his success to his dedication to client service, commitment to the pursuit of excellence and his absolute passion for hairdressing and fashion. As the Creative Director of Hair for Gwendolynne’s Mercedes Australian Fashion Week collections (02/03/04) and Tremayne the official Salon for the Melbourne Fashion Festival (1997/98/99/00) Alfredo affirms his status as one our most respected, talented and progressive fashion hair stylists.
